We receive countless pitches every day from founders and publicists about their new creations. Wonderful as they may be, unfortunately, time does not allow us to look at all the wonderful new products coming out. Everyone in the media business faces the exact same time constraint, and that’s precisely why a good marketing agency can make all the difference in the world for a product launch.
Today we are going to take a good look at who is providing the best marketing services in the crowdfunding space, as of late 2019.
Full Disclaimer: As a proud maker, I personally do about 3-4 campaigns on Kickstarter each year new.
Launching products my products provides me with opportunities to test and try as many marketing agencies and PR firms as my budget affords me. Over the years, I have worked with some great firms so I figured that now would be a great time to provide my rankings and thoughts on the matter. My campaign just closed a few weeks ago, and I was able to work with a couple of new agencies that I have not worked with before.
The Short List
Best for Advertising: Jellop
Best for PR: Spark PR
Best for Low-Budgets: BackerSpring
Best for Order Fulfillment: CrowdOX
Best for Fully Managed Campaigns: LaunchBoom
“Jellop” is hands down the best advertiser in the game today, but they only work with campaigns that have a good amount of momentum (since everyone wants them to do their Ads). “Funded Today” is a notable mention for paid media – but steer clear of their earned PR related services, as their agency is not effective at all for that. “Spark PR” is a San Francisco based PR firm that is a great help, but keep in mind that they do require a sizeable monthly retainer fee. I will only ever trust “CrowdOX” for my fulfillment, and if I ever need a fully managed campaign I always go with “LaunchBoom”. Lastly, “BackerSpring” is a really effective agency for smaller budget projects.
