The energy cogeneration group Neoelectra consolidates in Latin America. The Catalan firm of Sant Just Desvern acquires the majority of the capital of the Chilean company Conade Energika, dedicated to providing energy services to companies.
The energy cogeneration group Neoelectra strengthens its presence in Chile, a market in which it has been present since 2017, with the purchase of the majority of the capital of the local company Conade Energika, dedicated to providing energy services to companies.
With this operation – of which the amount has not transcended – the firm based in Sant Just Desvern increases its generation capacity in Chile by 30Mwh (t) in which two years ago it bought a biomass plant in the region of Bio Bio and opened a commercial office in Santiago de Chile.
“We are very active looking at opportunities in Chile and other Latin American countries and we expect to close more transactions before the end of the year,” says Roger Molina, director of Corporate Development at Grupo Neoelectra.
The Catalan company after this acquisition has 40 workers in Chile and a solid structure to commercialize the own brand Recefil and, from now, also with Canada, which will allow it, in the coming years, to strengthen its presence in Latin America with the growth in countries like Chile, Peru, and Colombia.
Currently, the Neoelectra group manages 17 power generation assets with a total installed capacity of 203 MW. The group’s business rose to 200 million euros in 2108.
